Tektronix has launched the 7 Series DPO (Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope), and the company claims the DPO718AX model is the world’s first 8-channel performance oscilloscope with up to 25 GHz analog bandwidth per channel (and 125 GS/s sampling). The new family is designed for high-speed serial compliance testing, wideband RF analysis, and high-energy physics research. Powered by a 12-core AMD EPYC Embedded 3351 processor paired with 96 GB RAM, 1.6 TB storage, an NVIDIA T1000 GPU, and a 15.6-inch touchscreen display, the oscilloscope looks like a high-end PC running Linux (or Windows 10 LTSC). It also includes a 10 Gbps SFP+ port with TekHSI technology for transferring large waveform datasets to an external PC, with Tektronix specifying up to 11x higher throughput. Tektronix 7 Series DPO key specifications: SoC – 12-core AMD EPYC Embedded 3351 12-core processor @ 3 GHz GPU – NVIDIA T1000 GPU with 896 NVIDIA CUDA cores System [...]
